Welcoming Betzi

In May, my cousins in Australia welcomed a little baby girl into their family. I had sent off a little package to surprise them with and just got word today that they've received it. Two months shipping time is not too terribly bad, but I was getting antsy! I'm so glad that it arrived safely. I've wanted to show the beautiful blanket I crocheted for her. I am in love with the colours white and yellow right now. Titus' is that colour, my newest project is that colour, and Betzi's is that color. I've been getting my crochet inspiration and patterns from the book Our Best Baby Afghans lately. I love their blanket designs. They are easy to make and always turn out some beautiful projects. Often, I will change the borders up a little, and I love playing with colors. That makes baby blankie number 20! And with one more on the go and a new one I just learned about this weekend (my sister-in-law just found out that she's expecting), I'll be busy for awhile! I love it!

  1. The blanket is beautiful Heidi. So, so soft. I'm sure Betzi is going to keep this one close to her heart. And I have been using Benny's red and white blanket for Betzi up until this point ! You have inspired me to start crocheting. I have a list of 5 projects that I want to finish before starting a new obsession!!!

  2. Thanks! Like I said, I love it! Crocheting is one of those things that you can take anywhere, even on a plane, although I haven't been able to crochet flying with 2 little munchkins to care for. Most of my crocheting happens when I am on the road, or at someone else's home. At my house, I get too distracted by all the other projects and things around me that I want to do. What projects are you working on?
